Liz and Sam’s wedding was a beautiful blend of personal history and timeless tradition. Held at The Admiral’s House in North Charleston, South Carolina, the venue’s rich naval heritage made it a fitting choice, especially with Sam’s service in the Navy.
Built in 1905 for the Commandant of the Charleston Navy Yard, The Admiral’s House stands as a testament to neoclassical architecture and naval legacy. Its majestic estate, surrounded by manicured lawns and historic naval buildings, provided a picturesque setting for Liz and Sam’s special day.
The ceremony took place on the estate’s lawn, with Spanish moss-draped trees creating a romantic canopy. Liz walked down an aisle adorned with pink petals and greenery, reflecting the natural beauty of the surroundings. The couple exchanged vows under a floral arch, with the historic mansion as a backdrop, blending elegance and intimacy.
Documenting Liz and Sam’s day was a privilege. Sam & Liz went through so many deployments away from each other, much like my husband & I. I really sympathized with them & I’m so glad I was able to be there for their special day.
For couples looking to incorporate military traditions into their wedding, The Admiral’s House offers a venue rich in history and charm. Its blend of Southern elegance and naval heritage makes it an ideal setting for a celebration that honors both personal and service commitments.
