A Timeless Savannah, Georgia Elopement
Shelbi and Nick’s Whitefield Chapel Elopement was the perfect reflection of why Savannah, Georgia continues to be one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the South. Savannah is known for its moss-draped oaks, historic charm, and romantic atmosphere. It offers endless opportunities for couples looking for a wedding day that feels equal parts elegant and intimate.
Their celebration took place at Whitefield Chapel. One of the prettiest wedding venues in Savannah, GA, where Southern tradition meets timeless beauty. With its historic architecture and peaceful grounds surrounded by live oaks, the chapel created the most enchanting backdrop for their vows. As a Savannah, Georgia wedding photographer, this venue is one I always love photographing because it truly embodies the magic of the Lowcountry.

Especially for couples who want an intimate experience without sacrificing beauty.
For Shelbi and Nick, this venue perfectly aligned with their vision of a wedding day. It was both deeply personal and effortlessly beautiful.
Shelbi & Nick’s Elopement Story
From the moment I met Shelbi and Nick, I knew their day would be full of intentional, meaningful moments. They decided to elope with just a handful of loved ones present. Allowing them to focus on the commitment they were making to one another without distraction.
Shelbi looked radiant in her elegant bridal gown. Which felt effortlessly chic against the backdrop of the chapel’s historic wooden pews and arched windows. Nick wore a classic white & black suit, which was the same style as his grandfather. Fun fact, Nick & Shelbi’s wedding day is the same has Nick’s grandparents over 50 years ago!
As their Savannah, Georgia wedding photographer, I approached their day with a refined blend of editorial artistry and photojournalistic storytelling. I wanted their photographs to feel graceful, genuine, and completely captivating. Images that would not just document the day but evoke the same emotions when they looked back on them years later.
Capturing Whitefield Chapel & Savannah’s Natural Beauty
One of the joys of photographing at Whitefield Chapel is how seamlessly the venue flows into the surrounding Lowcountry landscape. After their ceremony, we spent time wandering the chapel grounds, capturing portraits under the canopy of moss-covered oaks.
This mix of editorial posing and documentary storytelling allowed me to create portraits that felt both elevated and authentic. From the quiet, intimate moments shared between them to the joy and laughter after their ceremony, each image told the story of a couple fully present in the beauty of their day.
For couples looking for the best Savannah, Georgia wedding photos, Whitefield Chapel offers endless opportunities to create images that are both classic and unique.
