Middleton Place Charleston Family Photoshoot

I just had the most amazing family photo session at Middleton Place in Charleston, SC. It was a Spring session to celebrate this adorable baby girl’s 1st birthday and let me tell you, it was pure magic. The weather was a bit cloudy, but you know what? It added this soft, dreamy feel to the photos that I absolutely LOVED.

Middleton Place is such a stunning location, especially during this time of the year. The whole place was covered in pink blooms, and it felt like we were stepping into a fairytale. I couldn’t help but get lost in the beauty of it all. It really made for the perfect backdrop for this loving family’s portraits.

We started the session by capturing some candid moments of the parents playing and cuddling with their little girl. She wasn’t feeling too well that day but I promised Momma we would make the most of it!

As we walked around the gardens, the soft sunlight peeked through the clouds, creating this ethereal glow. I made sure to capture all the little details – those tiny fingers and toes, her rosy cheeks, and that twinkle in her eyes. It was all about freezing those sweet, fleeting moments in time.

Charleston has always been one of my favorite places to photograph families, and this session just reminded me why. I absolutely adore being a photographer and being able to capture these special moments for families. It’s the kind of job that fills my heart with so much joy and fulfillment. Seeing families come together, celebrating milestones, and creating memories that will last a lifetime is truly the best.
