A Ceremony Full of Meaning: A Tie Knot + Breaking the Glass

One of the most beautiful aspects of Mac & Corey’s ceremony was how they incorporated traditions meaningful to their relationship. They performed a tie knot ceremony, symbolizing the way their lives are now woven together. Then, at the end of the ceremony, they broke the glass. A celebratory and deeply traditional moment full of cheers, laughter, and happy tears. Capturing the anticipation, the energy, and the joy immediately afterward was one of my favorite parts of the entire day. These are the moments where my photojournalistic style anchors the story, giving couples images that feel alive every time they look back at them.

Editorial Bride & Groom Portraits After the Ceremony

Because Mac & Corey chose not to have a first look, all of their bride and groom portraits took place after the ceremony. The timing worked out beautifully, giving us the softest, most flattering light as we wandered through Inola’s property. The golden glow added a romantic warmth to every frame, creating portraits that feel dreamy and timeless. With the “big moment” completed, they were able to settle into photos together. Laughing, taking a breath, and letting the reality of “we’re married!” sink in. That combination of relaxed energy and perfect evening light made their portrait session one of the most beautiful parts of the day.

A Lively Reception Filled With Love, Laughter, and the Hora

Their reception was warm, joyful, and full of personality. The group was kind, welcoming, and ready to celebrate. Which made for some incredible candid photos.

One of the highest-energy moments of the night was the Hora dance, where guests circled around the couple with music, movement, and the kind of love you can feel just by looking at the photos. From emotional hugs to unfiltered laughter to the thrill of being lifted into the air, this reception told a story worth reliving over and over again.
