Savannah Georgia has some of the most beautiful locations for engagement photos. Beautiful low country and charming historic architecture fill Savannah. Although, I always location scout for each engagement session I wanted to share some of my personal favorite locations for engagement photos in Savannah. This is coming from a local too! 😉

1. Forsyth Park Savannah Photo Location

One of the first locations & a place so popular in Savannah is Forsyth Park. A stunning green space with a large fountain and towering oak trees draped in Spanish moss. The lush greenery and historic buildings in the background provide a romantic setting & scream Savannah. It’s a very iconic spot & a lot of couples want a least a few photos here.

2. Wormsloe Historic Site

Wormsloe Historic Site, where a picturesque avenue lined with oak trees creates a fairytale-like atmosphere. The golden hour light filtering through the trees casts a beautiful warm glow. Wormsloe might interest you if you’re a fan of the movie “The Last Song.”

3. Jones Street

The charming cobblestone streets and historic homes on Jones Street allure visitors. People know this street to be a must-see street and have labeled it the prettiest in Savannah. The majestic oak trees draped in Spanish moss add to its enchanting ambiance, providing a picturesque setting that attracts both locals and tourists. Walking along Jones Street, one can appreciate the meticulously preserved architecture, featuring a mix of Georgian, Victorian, and Greek Revival styles. If you’re looking for a slightly more urban vibe, this will be your street.

4. Monterey Square

Monterey Square is one of the prettiest squares in Savannah and is super close to Forsyth & Gaston Street. This square has the perfect mix of historic homes and architecture, charming cobblestone, and beautiful oak trees. The square is home to some of the city’s most notable landmarks, including the Mercer-Williams House, which stands as a testament to the area’s rich history.

5. Gaston Street

The beautiful Kessler Mansion is located on Gaston Street. It also has a beautiful spot for golden hour sunlight. There are also lots of cute corners down this street that are overlooked a lot of times. Gaston Street is lined with historic homes and lush greenery, making it a favorite. Visitors often take leisurely strolls to admire the exquisite architecture and charming gardens.

6. Isle of Hope

The Isle of Hope is filled with the cutest southern homes and offers breathtaking waterfront views. This is a great spot to add a casual and calm vibe to your engagement. The area boasts charming streets shaded by centuries-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss, creating a picturesque setting that’s perfect for a calming stroll or a romantic photoshoot. Along the waterfront, you can find quaint docks and marinas where boats gently sway in the breeze, adding to the serene atmosphere. The local community is friendly and welcoming, with many residents taking pride in maintaining the area’s historic charm.

7. Tybee Island Forsyth Park Savannah Photo Location

For those looking for a beachy and relaxed vibe, head out to Tybee Island, just a short drive from downtown Savannah. There are several backdrop ideas here from the Lighthouse, dunes, and of course the ocean. I love to incorporate fun, playful shots here too.
