Christie & Drew brought a piece of New York chic to the cobblestone streets of their Historic Charleston Engagement session. From soft coastal light to charming historic facades, Charleston offered the perfect Southern backdrop for their sophisticated, editorial-inspired portraits.

Traveling all the way from New York City, these two wanted an experience that felt effortless, authentic, and artful—photos that reflect who they are now and what this season of life means to them. With my approach rooted in both organic photojournalism and editorial composition, we created a gallery full of graceful connection, rich emotion, and beautifully styled moments.

Historic Charleston Engagement Session

We started their session around Chalmers Street with a casual look that felt timeless and easy. Christie wore a long, white flowy maxi dress that moved like a dream in the breeze, while Drew kept it elevated yet relaxed in a knit short-sleeve top and slacks. Together, they looked right at home beneath the Spanish moss and storied brick of downtown Charleston.

Later, we strolled through The Battery & residential area where they changed into a cool and semi-formal outfit—and wow, did it deliver. Christie’s floral mini dress brought in playful, editorial energy, while Drew’s emerald green suit added a bold, fashion-forward statement. The combination was striking & stylish. Think: classic romance meets modern flair.
